Optima Engineering provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and technology engineering services for a major expansion and renovation of the Southminster Senior Living Campus. The project included a new 40,000 SF villa building with associated parking, a new 140,000 SF skilled nursing and assisted living addition, and the renovation of approximately 23,500 SF of common areas, dining spaces, and kitchen facilities. The scope also included the conversion and renovation of 51,000 SF of existing skilled nursing space into modern independent living units.

This comprehensive campus transformation enhanced the continuum of care offered to residents while modernizing amenities, improving operational efficiency, and creating updated living, dining, and community spaces. Careful planning and coordination were required to integrate new construction with existing facilities while maintaining campus operations and supporting the evolving needs of Southminster’s residents and staff.
