The new Discovery Place Nature museum will enhance environmental education and serve as a cultural amenity for both Charlotte residents and visitors, celebrating the ecological diversity of the Piedmont region through engaging exhibits and immersive experiences. The facility features a treetop canopy walk, an otter habitat, public gardens, versatile community spaces, and a two-story, 25,000 square foot building housing a variety of exhibits, labs, and community spaces.
