Optima Engineering provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and technology engineering services for the Novant Health Heart & Vascular Institute and Cancer Institute, a 263,000 SF, seven-story outpatient facility located adjacent to Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. The state-of-the-art facility brings oncology and cardiovascular services together under one roof, creating a centralized destination for patient care while maintaining connectivity to the main hospital campus through an enclosed pedestrian bridge.

Designed to support collaboration, innovation, and an enhanced patient experience, the facility includes specialized cancer clinics, infusion services, radiation oncology, cardiovascular care, rehabilitation spaces, a central laboratory, retail pharmacy, and other patient-focused amenities. The completed project establishes a new benchmark for healthcare design within the Novant Health system and serves as a prominent destination for advanced heart and cancer care in the Charlotte region.
